How to flash (reprogram) 8900 for different provider?

I called my local Cellular One corporate office and asked if they could flash my new Audiovox 8900 which I bought off Ebay and which currently has Verizon programming. They told me they "might" be able to, and that I'd just have to drop it off for 24 to 48 hours. Well, this pretty much stinks so I've decided that I'll try that as a VERY LAST resort.

Does anyone know if, and how it may be possible to reprogram/flash my Audiovox 8900 to work with Cellular One (Western Wireless)?

Or is it even necessary to reprogram it/flash it? And if so then how do I go about getting it to place and receive calls through Cellular One?

I am looking for the same info, only I want to convert a Cricket 8900 to work with Verizon. Did you have any luck with yours?
