Wirelessly posted (Triband81's Nokia N-Gage: NokiaN-Gage/1.0 SymbianOS/6.1 Series60/1.2 Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0)

I managed to misplace my N-Gage headset cable which allows you to use regular 3.5 mm headphones. Now I found a replacement cable which allows 3.5 mm headphones to fit the 2.5 mm jack.My question is whether the N-Gage headphones jack is 2.5 mm. Thanks for everyone's input

i think u should ask nokia about it...but i still think u should just by the OEM adaptor cable on its own

Yea its 2.5mm . The 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters can be found in audio stores such as RadioShack or Bestbuy . Same one as OEM

That's what I thought. Unfortunately, the OEM cable isn't sold separately here in Germany anymore. I tried all of the regular electronics retailers and they no longer stock the OEM accessories and nothing in the regular Nokia accessories palette fits the original N-Gage.

Thanks for the confirm

If u are buying it, just make sure that the 2.5 mm connector has 2 black bands on it and not 3. If it has 2 black bands, it shd work properly.

I got it today and it works just fine with the N-Gage, it looks pretty much like the OEM cable from Nokia with the exception that it's a bit longer.

Here it is, it's the Hama Klinkenadapter and it costs 6,49 Euros at Mediamarkt in Germany:

im getting a little confused here. i understand that you need a 2.5mm /3.5mm adapter. but would it make a diffrent which one it is. on ebay and stuff i've seen 2.5 ~> 3.5 and vice versa they all look a like to me.

I'm looking to gather up all 3 n-gage wires for cheap from local stores. i can get the USB from radioshack a 5pin mini usb, i need a 2.5~>3.5mm adapter, but i dont know what the last one is the recording cable. where can i get that or what are the specs for it.

I do believe that the recording cable is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm (male to male) cable .
The headphone adapter is 3.5mm (female) to 2.5mm (male)

i think u should inquire about them from nokiausa?

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

i would but i figure hofo would give me a nice short and sweet QUICK answer.
