(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Okay I've tried for the past two hours to get this to work.
I gone to every site there is and downloaded all the drivers and tried to run them. Every time I get the New hardware wizard saying that it needs the USB data cable drivers.

Please help.
I have the LG 6070 phone.

Have tried:

- 1x Express drivers - VX6000 Charging cable drivers
- Drivers that came with the CD.
- LG44005350drivers.zip
- LGUSBDriverInstalltion_35f.exe
- LGusbModemDriver.exe
- Prolificdrivers.zip
- USBInstaller.exe

Why can't I get windows XP to find the @#$#@ thing!

On my cable it says: LG-CDMA 8080/8180
this cable is the charging model.

Thanks for everyones help!

hope helps

LG Drivers:
http://futuredial.com/support/downl...20Installer.exe
(Use VX6000 when prompted to choose phone)

Important!
After plugging in your phone if the phone is not automatically recognized please point the drivers to:
C:\program files\futuredial\drivers\5350\winxp
Your computer will prompt you to do this 4 times in order to install all the proper drivers.
And if you figure out how to upload contacts to the lg 6070 let me know

on my 4500 and 3200

the drivers MUST be installed WITHOUT the cable plugged in

that's right, install the drivers before plugging in the cable and phone

it's done that way because the cable ( with chip ) is a convertor system and the computer is NOT supposed to think it's a usb device.. it's supposed to think its a com port ( serial device )

That is my problem. Installation wizard finds the device "USB Data Cable" But I don't have any drivers that will work? I've also installed the Prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge drivers before plugging in the cable and I get a yellow exclamation mark on the device sayes" Windows cannot determine the settings for this device ....."

Please let me know what am I doing work

uninstall everything you have put in

check the systems folder and make sure the cables / USB device is gone , if its not gone remove it

than

download the driver from this link

or here

http://members.driverguide.com/list...1661/index.html

download the LG USB composite driver

I bought the same cable from the same place on Ebay... I've had a horrible time with drivers... finally have got drivers from supplier that work for file transfer, but have not yet been able to connect to internet.

I can send you the driver's I have.

Does anyone have any ideas why I can't connect to the internet (QNC) to Telus?

I'm having the same problem... have the data cable with the lg 6070 ... can do file transfer no problem, but can't connect to the internet... if you figure out how let me know.

I just got the drivers from the seller. If anyone wants them let me me know. The problem I'm having now is how do I add contacts of ringtones to my phone? I've tried to read thru this forum but I really don't understand! I've used BitPim and the other app still having problems! If anyone has a very easy to follow way of adding .mp3 or .mmf format of ringtones on to our phone I would like to know how!

Thanks!
