Switching SIMS in T610

I've just bought myself a dual SIM card holder and installed it into my T610 ( and managed to close the back ). It holds a business and a private SIM card . All the instructions I've seen on various postings, eBay etc , advise to just switch the phone off and on again to switch between the 2 SIMS, but mine keeps defaulting to my private SIM all the time and won't switch over to the business one. It doesn't seem to matter which slot ( SIM1 or 2) the private SIM is held in , it won't switch over to the business one if the private one is in there too.
For info , both are Vodafone SIMS. The business one I have had for about 7 years, and the private one for 1 month.
Any advise...?

If my memory serves me right, I don't recall anyone having success with this - I guess it's just that dual simcard holders won't work with a T610. It's either that or the amount of pressure that the holder is getting from the battery cover is causing it to malfunction.

Just for testing purposes, hold the battery down with your finger and fire up the phone with the holder and both sims in place. Power cycle it and see if it switches over to the other sim. Good luck!

maybe be simply because the sim holder is not working

im using one of those dual simcards, and it works fine on my t610 and t637, the only problem i have is opening/closing the battery cover, it is very tight.
