Let me preface this by saying I am a complete idiot when it comes to any of this. Please answer my questions with this in mind.

I have a LG VX6000 and I want to be able to connect it to my PC. What data cable and software would I need in order to accomplish this? I see the "sticky" thread up top but the link to ebay item is dead.

What are the capabilities of the software and where would I be able to download it?

I know of a midi file I would like to use as my ringtone. How is that different from using a MP2 file?

Cable = go search on eBay for VX6000 under the accessories section. Or buy it from verizon with driver and all.

Ring Tone = Difference between mid and mp3 songs/file is that the mp3 has better quailty. You can upload mp3 files to your phone, but you have to rename the extension to mid. (ex. if the filename is called song.mp3, rename it to song.mid)
