hello, i figured ut how to use brewsky to upload a couple of ringtones and then the ones that were there are gone now. i looked through the series of threads on this and was wondering if there's any new info or advice on this problem. the ringtones that were on the phone were sent as an attachment through e-mail and they did work fine. thanks Randy

Same thing happened to me too. Seems like Brewsky overwrites your download_snd.txt file.

i don;t think they are really deleted thought. you might be able to use Bitpim to get them off of the phone still and then send them back using Brewsky.

that happened to me to. how would i get them off my phone with Bitpim?

Using Bitpim, you can browse the file system tree which is really all you can do with that program. I think they are under a directory called DB.

if they are still there you can download them back to your PC and then use brewsky send them back up.

did it work?

i learned everything by browsing through the threads. it can get confusing at times as there is a lot of contradictory info and misconceptions. I got Bitpim connected but didn;t realise that the programs doesn;t really work with the 8900, just the file browsing. With Brewsky, i could see the pictures but couldn;t see the ringtones I had already.
