P900 MMS problem

I am using Cingular with my P900 here in North Carolina and I just signed up for mms service. For some reason my P900 is incapable of recieving video and sound in mms's, while my old T616 recieves and plays sounds just fine. Anyone know if there is a compatability issue with the P900 and Cingular? I've tried everything I can to fix this. Is there a way to use another provider's wap gateway and MMS service center address?

yeah, i've even been on the phone with cingular's and SE's tech support. Nothing yet. No one so far has even heard of the problem.
