Hello, first post here, Just got a v400, and of course I can't leave anything alone. I bought a futuredata cable, not realizing it was a the worst one to buy. But anyway I hacked it apart removed all the FD crap and now its the same as the moto cable.

I got it to work with MPT, but when I open p2kman it says not connected. How do I connect?

pk2man comes with its own collection of drivers that need to be installed before it will recognise your phone. It should have started a Windows new device installation procedure the first time you ran p2kman. If it didn't, you might need to uninstall the MPT USB driver. p2kman will then install about six drivers for your phone. After all that, you'll get the "connected" notification.

MPT and p2kman seem to have a complicated relationship. Often, I'll need to reinstall one or another driver sets when switching from one of the programs to the other. Add PST into the mix and you'll become very familiar with driver conflicts and bluescreens.

Well I ended up getting it to work, the first couple times I opened p2kman, it didnt install the drivers.
