using musicmatch jukebox, i converted a cd track to a 25 second 24 kbps mp3. i went on hotmail, attached the file, which has no spaces in the name and sent it. it said that the message sent but nothing was revieved on my phone (cdm8900). i tried again with hotmail and had no luck. i went to vzwpix.com and tried from there. when i uploaded the mp3 file, it said warning, upload error or something along those lines...what am i doing wrong?? help please!!!

All you have to do is change the file extension to .mid and send it. It will play on the phone, even if you can't play the .mid file on your PC. Trust me on this one.

how would i change the file extension to .mid?? i've tried going to the properties and changing it from there but that never works cause i get an error message...i've tried doing it before i attach it to an e-mail but it gives me a message saying that the file does not exist or cannot be found. so how do i change the extension?? cause i'm pretty sure if i can, i'll be able to send it but as of now, i'm stuck...

Epic! Those work great, thanks!

In order to convert to Midi files you need to go into your Tools>Folder Options>View and uncheck the option that says something like "hide extentions for known file types". With it still checked it will just continue to have .mp3 on the end.

Anyway so I did this and it says "Unsupported content file type audio/midi Throughthewire.midi

I sent about 7 through outlook express each about 203kbs, are they simply too big, or too many? Thanks!

Any error message you receive is fine, just as long as you change the .mp3 to .mid you'll be golden.
