I really want BT synch but evidently it has been "crippled" with the 71000 so only headsets are allowed....any chance someone will be able to activate this or that BB will at a later date?

Considering that this was 100% intentional they probably won't ever enable it.

At least not until it can be disabled from the BES.

I heard its possible with version 4 of BES to enable bluetooth serial policy which means you should be able to sync over BT to your desktop e.g.

But with BES 4.0, you wont need to sync to a computer via a cable or a bluetooth, if it is already doing wirless sync from the BES server for all of your data (minus new programs loaded from your local machine).

Even with wireless synching, if you could have a bluetooth connection to your PC just to show your device as connected to stop receiveing e-mail without plugging in the USB cable would be nice.
