Mac OS X, 8900, as a modem, help

Hello. Has anyone got their audiovox 8900 to work as a modem with a mac? I can't seem to get it. I download some drivers for my cable(from radioshack) tried to add it as a modem. Nothing seems to have worked.
Any comments, suggestions? What software/drivers do you use.
