After surfing the net all day at work and searching forums and doing more searches; turns out the best way to get that valuable little Bell Mobility SPC code(for me at least) was to call a local bell store and impersonate an employee from a sister store. "Hi this is 'Jerry' from the 'King St.' location... we have a customer here with a phone hooked up to the software and the system just froze....can you get me the spc code so we can write changes to his phone?" First store I called got suspicious, second store didn't have a clue what 'software' I was talking about and the third store bought it hook line and sinker. "...Yes I can get you that code hold on a moment.....". My question to y'all is.. does anybody else want this code? Should I post it in this forum? Or should I devise a get rich scheme and charge for it? Naw I'll post it if it's safe to do so. Let me know

Can i get the code? Maybe it will fix my problem, I have a Kyocera SE47 and it hasn't been used in about 4-5 months with Virgin mobile. I called in to get some more time, and they told me my phone was inactive, (duh, that is why I was calling in for more minutes!), any way, since it was inactive for what they call a long amount of time, they said they couldn't re-activate it and that I would have to buy a new phone. Can I get service through Verizon or another carrier? Can I hack it or something, I'm not paying another $150!

Thanks, Shane

As far as I know the codes are specific to the carrier; I've tried codes from this forum and the only one that worked was the one that I got from bell mobility(Ontario, Canada) so I'm pretty sure yours would be different.

arent they set by the esn? when i used to work for bell they were never the same?

Now that you mention it she did ask for the esn and then sounded like she was using it to look up the spc. How sure are you about this?(give me a percentage). I was just going by all the talk here in the forum which I believe was universal that spc's are carrier specific and not phone spacific. Having worked there yourself maybe you are correct then. Thnx.

yeah i think im about 90% sure

SPC's are carier specific. USCC generates your SPC from your ESN, but Verizon might generate a different SPC from the SAME ESN. You might get lucky and it might be all zero's but it probably won't stay that way for long.

Bell Mobility generates their SPCs based on the ESN.

Just a followup, Carriers also use a OTKSL, which is one code programmed for all phones. An example would be Metro PCS that uses 587846. Although this code will work for all phones on the network they are limted to use. Sometimes the code can only be used 5 times then the phone will default to the main SPC which is specific to each ESN. hence the term "OTKSL uses"

good luck
