If I get a data cable is there software that can upload ringers to the vx7000?

will the mobile office kit do it?

I have the vx7000 and the mobile office kit. That won't do it. I also downloaded bitpim and QPST. Neither of those will recognize/find the cable.

Other than that I love the vx7000. I really wanted to be able to up/down load pictures and ringtones.

No, the mobile office kit will not.

QPST works fine with my vx7000 as does Data Pilot.

I suggest you try the LG VX7000 tutorials sticky thread on the front page of the LG forums.

If you can't get the cable to work then just e-mail them directly to your phone.
