1. Make sure phone reads as CONNECTED at the bottom left in the status bar.
2. At the the bottom right, under the LOAD section type in 0032 and 0001, then press the <Load from Phone> button

Important Note: As a precaution, after you initially load the 0032_0001 seem, or any other SEEM from the phone, you may want to save that to your PC for backup purposes in case you ever want to go back to the original, or in case you do something wrong during the edit.
After loading the SEEM, just click the <Save to File> button to save to your computer's hard drive.

3. In the main window, find and click offset 43 (It shows which is currently selected in the 'byte details" section below the main white window.)
4. Check the bit 0 box (the first one), then click the <Save to Phone> button

You should restart your phone at this point, and then check your java menu to see if java app loader is now available. Assuming you were successful, follow the MIDway guide located above.

I have been reading this thread for weeks and I still can't get it right, at first I tried to use Bezols's P2K, but when I tried to put it in psk mode the phone does not connect it only connects in AT mode and now I am trying to use the p2k seem with no luck,,, Can't get the phone to connect,,,what am i missing?

p2k is a lot easier ..... But you must have it running correctly and reconizing phone in p2k-mode. then you click kjava ... next click refresh to see whats already installed. Now you click install and direct program to your directory with game you plan to install. Once finish restart the phone. Now thats easiest way to install apps.

i have several skins i loaded on my phone as well as one i made and i found that the skins are causing the application error. the skins work perfectly fine accept when u start a game it crashes you get application error. change skin back to a defualt that came on your phone like for me it was Techno, then load a game and you will find it works great now

and do remeber NOT ALL games will work but so far the only ones that i find that wont run the phone gives invalid file error when you try to upload with midway or midway gives error "Error opening Jar"

hope this helps someone took me a day of ripping my hair out to find out why they didnt run. i tried to read all 15 pages of posts and i dont think anyone mentioned this fix

7. The Motorola Modem disappears and the 2 USB drivers appear that I mentioned above.
8. However, none of the Modding programs (PST, P2KTools) seem to work properly; they inevitably crash.

Any and all advice on how to fix this is most welcome.

I do have MPT installed on the machine if that makes any difference.
Another item that might matter is that Windows has *never* asked me to install any drivers on its own during this process.

I have MPT, P2k, and PST installed, and when I plug in my phone with PST running, my computer (XP SP2) automatically installs the drivers for "Data Logging MCU Interface" & "Test Command Interface" but not "Accessories Interface." I can't suspend my phone either, it get stuck right at 50% telling me to power cycle my phone. I manually installed the "Accessories Interface" driver and I, too, get that "!" icon next to it. When checking properties, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)."
