Ok im a good looking Trini and a fool when it comes to all these technical Nokia features and whatnot, Ok first off I always wanted a Nokia 8390, only because of its looks not because of all of its advanced multi-talanted internet features I jus want the phone to make phone calls not to check the Dow Industrial
So here what i wanted to know what should i do...
Should I buy a 8390 and dess it up that way i want it or
get a Nokia 8290 and buy the 8310/8390 Faceplates and either White or Blue LEDS and use that one?
Also another thing is I dont like the Transparancy on the Nokia 8390 middle sections a question about that is.. could i pop that middle section put and spray paint it? or do they sell the 8390 Faceplates with the solid Two-Tone colors?
And finally how is the 8290 Recpetion compared to the 8390??
I really sorry for bothering you guys with the essay but i dont wanna throw my money down the drain...at least withouth getting the right info...

Like click here...this is for 8290 You see how the Red is Solid and not Frosty and transparent?? Dp they have Facplates like this for the 8390???

There is a fair amount of aftermarket stuff for the 8390 now to dress up the phone whatever way you want.

There is also conversion faceplates for the 8290 to make it look like the 8390 however why would you want to do this when you could just buy a 8390 which has more updated features and better reception.

I suppose you could spray paint the interior part of the faceplates to eliminate the transparacy but I think that would look horrible and tack if you did that. It would probably be better if you just bought a solid color aftermarket faceplate instead.

The reception of the 8390 is way better than the 8290, however it also depends on whatever network you are on too.

if all you want is fone with 8390 look but dun need all the fancy feature and dun care about the reception, get a 8290 and mod it anyway you want. you can find a used and mod one for half the price of a 8390

i see them all the time though....fido even have some i believe and you could alwasy buy aftermarket

i can try my best to find it online buy i saw it in a chinese fido store and chance are it's not OEM. what color you looking for

something like this but without the stupid skull thing the bottom is red and the middle section available in many colors

yeh....but that is for the 8290 not the 8390 or would that type of conversion faceplate for the 8290 fit the 8390..............?
