Hopefully I can get the data cable and actually use some of these.

Thank you, I appreciate it!

Well I would also like to make it known that the WinHex.exe that's in this zip file is a virus. So make sure that you don't double click on that.

winhex is not a virus it is a tool to read hexidecimal data. i use it all the time. http://winhex.wincent.com Look for yourself.

there was a few setup files in there that i forgot to take out. none of the files are infected. i scanned the zip file and also my webserver scans files while uploading. its all safe. if you would have reasearched winhex before you called it a virus you would have seen that it is a legitimate program. also shame on you for doubled clicking an .exe file that you were not familiar with.

sorry to have donea favor, i will keep my webspace to my self i guess.

Yes I know what a hex editor is you moron. I also scanned all of the files inside of the zip and the WinHex.exe was infected. I also ran it on another computer, then installed NAV and scanned the computer and it had 48 infected files.

thats great. i am happy for you. anyways your sure it came from that zip file.

i scanned with norton ,agv and on the webserver. no infected files. so thanks for doing your homework but you got an "F"

I wasn't the one who caught it at first. I posted a link on another site where 10 other people said it was infected as well. Upgrade your virus definitions.

Any way I can get a hold of that zip file? I need it and I missed the limited time post as I don't frequent the board too much as I have yet to get a data cable.

Please someone host this for a short while.

* Edit *
BTW I don't loke Hypnotic's attitude. There are better ways to let some one know that their file is infected with a virus. Calling them a moron is certainly NOT one of 'em.

Note that I told him it was a virus politely the first time. It wasn't until he questioned my intelligence on what a hex editor was that I called him a moron.

OK. But the guy did not call you names. He just questioned if you'd done adequate research on the HexEditor. That still does not warrant name calling. But that's my opinion and lets leave it at that.

Now, how do I go about getting this zip file(infected or not)? I have an uptodate NAV subscription so I am not worried about the infected file.

Thanks

Anybody care to post/host this for a little bit of time? I need that zip file.

Thanks

Posted by: tom108

sorry for the delaybeen on vacation.

wow i only found one person who had an infected file. and that one person was
Hypnotic Vision whom replied to this thread. anyways i took the link down beacuse i said i was only hosting it for 5 days.

as for the virus crap i have no clue why you are infected. i work in IT and in webdesign so i know very well how to update my virus definitions. you said you tried it on 2 computers. if you suspected an infected file why would you put a second pc at risk?

anyways thanx to everyone for your kind words, enjoy your ringers.

Well actually what you said was :
"Well I would also like to make it known that the WinHex.exe that's in this zip file is a virus. So make sure that you don't double click on that." and he did not question your intelligance, you said that WinHex IS a virus not HAS a virus. You are in the wrong dude so admit it and get over it already.
