I recently switched to an LG CX6000, and have ben relearning how to hack it. (Previously had a Samsung A530).

Few things I've noticed and need help with:

1) Gagin won't work (though Bitpim will....meaning I know what com-port my phone is using, and have the right drivers).

2) I have some programs (phone apps) that have extentions such as .jar and .jad. What are these? (I'm used to seeing .mif files for downloadable games/apps).

3) Have been told I need to use a converter to change MP3's to QCP files for voice(Mp3-like)-ringers. This necessary? I notice that I have one QCP I prerecorded into the phone, and one .mid (that sounds like real Mp3 recording) that I downloaded from ModTones-DJ.

forget about jar or jad files, they are mostly for nokia phones.

and the 6K can play mp3s, you dont need to convert to anything.
just rename the .mp3 to .mid and upload it to your phone
