Just changed from a P910i to P910a, much better reception! The phone seems to work faster too.

Good for you..
You're improved reception might be the result of the P910a picking up the 850MHZ band in which happens to be more viable and stable for GSM carriers in N America. ATT struggled a great deal with GSM upon adopting the service. Several P800/P900 had issues with them and Cingular because of this. So Cingular users aren't even able to utilize the P800/P900 in several parts of N America to-date because the 850 band is the primary frequency available in several small cities. However, most their units where configured to utilize the 850 band and there was very little support they could offer to clients with phones intended to be used overseas. So SE has addressed the issue with its most popular phone by releasing the P910a. I think anyone that primarily wants to utilize their phones in N America should go with the P910a. Especially Cingular clients who will see much better improvements over their P800 and P900. With all that said, I don't think this means there is anything inferior about the P910i reception. I get great reception with mine when I'm in Europe. Again, it depends the frequency that the market you're in caters to.
