I recently purchased a USB data cable off of ebay, i got a good deal on it. So i get it, and i install the drivers, and when i got BitPim up and running i tried to get it to recognize my fone. Tried retreiving the file system stuff with the [+] box. But it keeps coming up with an "ERROR" box, which says "LG-VX4400 on COM3: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew", i've gone through everything in the BitPim help, i've checked forums, i've tried different drivers. Im wondering if the driver i have isn't meant for this cord. The driver is a Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm. I've tried using GAGIN as well but have had no luck. So far i've only tried changing ports on the device manager, i can't understand why it wont work. I've seen forums with people with the same cord as mine and they had it working. I just dont understand the the F*&^ it won't work. Heres a pic of what the cord looks like. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Usually these kind of things i can figure out on my own, but its been a week now and i've been having no luck. Thanks alot!
