I need:
RF (the first priority)
bt performance (the phone will be used as GPRS modem)
battery time
T-Mobile compatibility (sure they support 1900, but wap and internet/modem configuration is another story, since moto is less configurable, I never used SE)

I have both and would say the battery life is better on the z600

The RF is a little better on the v5xx

BT performance is similar between both phones.

They both work well with T-Mobile's services... both GPRS and MMS.... but the z600 won't connect to the T-Zones main site for some reason (no biggie, Just use another home page)

I prefer the v5xx because of it's additional features over the z600
...

Better camera
Better screen
Speakerphone
More Memory
Quadband.

I have a V400 and a Z600 and I like the SE better. Yes the V400 has a better camera but I need battery life and rf, suprisingly my Z600 gets better rf than my v400. Also, I like the bluetooth which my V400 does not have. I vote for the Z600 because it is not as common.

i say the v525 is better

easy to flash to a v600

in my opinion the Z600 is too big and bulky. Also it tends to freeze alot or lag a couple of seconds after pushing buttons. The V5xx seems to me to be a better pick. Quad band helps with reception and the speakerfone, user friendliness and the plain better looks of the V5xx totally beats out the Z600.

The z600 is just the t630 in a more bulky form factor.

The v5xx is a generation ahead of the SE.
