vtech a700: auto keypad lock NOT working as expected?

had auto keypad lock configured in the menu. keypad was still not locked automatically. manual keypad locked was possible by holding "#" key and can be unlocked properly.
however, this is not how it supposed to be working? i expect, keypad will lock AUTOMATICALLY once it has been enabled in the menu. also, it should re-locked after call end???
any help would be much appreciated!

Maybe your phone does not work properly...
Mine on auto-lock will lock itself after a call, if you don`t touch the keypad, the phone will auto-lock after 1 minute or so.
