Hey guys,
I currently have a v400, and I've SEEM edited it to have the Network Selection menu (which Cingular generally turns off). Since the ATT/Cingular merger hasn't taken "effect" (i.e. I don't have ready access to ATT towers w/o Cingular Roaming/Extend), it is imperative that I have the network selection menu due to the type of reception in my apartment.
I really like the 6230b, but I heard that it only has Network Selection on ATT and T-Mobile - so I was wondering if any type of SEEM editing or anything similar was available on it.
Thanks.

no seem editing on any nokias.....but they do have flashing of the f/w to update, so when the merger happens, they will have all of the f/w updates for you to get it flashed with.

Well, if the 6230's reception is as incredible as people say (over the Motorola Vxxx series), then perhaps it won't be a problem. I get between 0 and 2 bars of reception on my v400 here, and on 0 and 1 bar of reception I can hear incoming calls but not answer them, on 2 bars I can place and receive calls, but they are often choppy and eventually drop off.
I wish Austin, TX would hurry up and acquire the ATT towers properly :P
Thanks though.

Don't get me wrong - my v400 has great reception as well - it's just that in my apartment specifically Cingular service sort of falters because I'm on the 1st floor.
To make a full, solid, long call I have to switch my phone to ATT's network.
