Should i purchase the mpx 220 or the tmo sidekick 2. i know a lot about both phones i just need a few opinions, i really appreciate the help.

honestly...

it really boils down to what your preferences are..

do you text alot? do you need to have your contacts sync'd between your pc and phone?
do you really think you'll make prints from photos taken from a cell phone?
screen size?

i don't see what teh big deal is about the mpx220...

but then again, some people will say the same about the sk2..

so for me its the sk2.. the only other phone i'd consider is the newer nokia communicator series... :-)

i'm a data man... and internet junkie so i need a fulll keyboard and messaging based device..

so far, what i've heard is the camera sucks for a 1.2mp, honestly, i never expect to take awesome pics from my phone, thats why i have a digital camera.. more for the moment thing..

no keyboard so sk2 has a one up already on it..

it does have windows mobile 2003 but then again, is that a plus over the danger os (to me is very stable)? but prob will have more apps than sidekick (but then again you can develop your own for the sk too)

bluetooth, one up for mpx220

clamshell, smaller design, one up for mpx220

geekiness; imo, sk2 kills it.. the mpx220 just looks like anyother clamshell cell phone.. no cool flipping screen, full qwerty keyboard and price tag over $300??

i'd go with the nokia communicator series than the mpx220.. if it had a full keyboard and larger screen, then you might have me thinking twice about my luv of my sk2.. but till then, sk2 imo...

just my .02..

hahaha limited credit smartaccess but you can afford a mpx220, wonderful!

Posted by: amabiz

sorry some ppl can afford stuff that have no credit unlike ppl who have credit

Posted by: y2shemy

thanks for the replies, but im still unsure which way to go.

Posted by: badass bunny

have you gotten to play with either?

Posted by: y2shemy

no, unfortunately i havent been able to.

well im going to reserve my opinion. i havent even touched a 220 so i dont think i could give an unbiased thought. i really really like the skII though. just a matter of what you want/need and what the phone provides. goodluck though!

uh. wtf?

TMO stuck me with smartaccess and i can afford a sidekick. heck i can buy two or even 3.

Their business strategy needs revision cause sprintpcs approves anyone no matter how bad your credit is.

(( No i am not rooting for sprint. I like TMO. too bad i dont think i'll stay with them cause i cant keep the sidekick and 300mins))

it depends on what you want to do with the phone mainly.

lol, approving anyone, regardless of credit, is the best possible way to lose money. T-Mo is SMART for not doing it!

anyway, i'm gonna have to vote for the SKII, because the MPX220 is nothing but buggy on it's first release with Cingular... and Microsoft's SmartPhone OS is known for being buggy...

i'd personally go with the sk2......i had one and then sold it for the motorola e398 becasue i really wanted bluetooth, and liked being able to upload my own mp3 ringtones.....but im selling the e398 to pick up another sk2, the email on the go, aim always at your side are the biggest reasons i am going back. plus the fact that i could never get the settings to make t-zones work on the e398 kind of sealed the deal.

I have an SKII right now and I'd go to hiptop.com and read up -- there are alot of data connection woes for certain things on the data side which I can confirm.

tried the BB7100t out and the data was fine, the layout just was horrible (for me).

SKII would be awesome if it worked.

Trust me. The MPX220 without a doubt. Too many advantages aside from no keyboard. But if you can find a decent BT keyboard then you have no worries.
