my dad is the parts manager at fairfield ford in cincinnati, OH & they JUST got in 5 new 05' mustangs. each stickered out at about 20,000 a piece! these are bad ××× cars!

nice, i wouldnt mind taking one for a test drive.

Posted by: Smeech

Must be the V6s... cant wait to test drive a GT. I bet there will be markup on the sticker though..

I'll be getting the GT... eventually. I want the fog lights that make it look like the Eleanor (if you don't know who Eleanor is, you're in idiot).

I think most (if not all) dealerships only got the V6 models, Motortrend may have been talking about the GT model (with the v8 and fog lights).

Eleanor was a 1973 Mustang Mach 1.

A truly badass car in its own right, made better by the fact that with '74 came the Mustang II, the most steamingly vile piece of poop ford has ever produced.

This new mustang is the first truly badass car to come out of ford since then.

If only the General had something for us pony car lovers.

The original Eleanor was the Mach I. The more well-known Eleanor (the one I like better), is the 1967 Shelby GT500 (modified for the movie of course). http://www.uniqueperformance.com/

Heres one. Looks like Ford is equipping some of these vehicles with factory amps in the trunk. It looks like its AM but I think its part of the Ford radio system since it says shaker on it and i'm sure thats not just an ordinary sound system and i'm pretty certain that it comes with that amp in the trunk.

i didnt look at the pic but all stangs with the mach 460 or 1000 have amps in the trunk. the general has the gto which looks good with the new hood and split exhaust. camaro may come back i dont think anyone knows for sure yet but right now im jus waitin for ford to release the 6.2 hurricane so i can have my muscle truck

I hope it does, they never should have stopped making it. Where did you head about that?

Posted by: rteenie22

motortend future car guide a few times since it was discontinued. they originally said the ssr was to replace it. dont get me wrong i love ssr's but it isnt no where close to camaro. to different vehicles totally. but it may happen bob lutz is turning gm around
