Motorola sells them direct on their site, but I would just like a good set of headphones without the phone function of THESE
But, I have a pair on the way since they weren't included in the box, I'll just go ahead and give them a try. At least they don't have the crazy pop port connector on them. It seems hard to find just stereo 2.5mm headphones. They are all 3.5mm and I can't locate an adapter.

thanx alot....i went ahead and ordered those from the motorola website, shipping hurts though.....15.00 for 2 day, oh well. have you had any luck located a spare battery for the phone? i love it but the battery will not last over a day with the use i plan on giving it. hehe.

Let me know how the sound quality on the headphones are whne you get them. I'm not an audiophile, but I've had bad experiences with headphones/earplugs that are under 25 dollars.
I use those sony wrap behind your neck headphones I've had for about 3 or 4 years and the quality is acceptable to me on those.

oh yeah? i have a pair of those right in front of me now, i'll try them out. i just want to be able to answer calls as well when they come in. which is why i ordered the motorola set. i managed to speak to someone at motorola regarding a battery and they told me they did not have any for sale yet. bummer.

I checked out the link to the headphones and wonder if the wireless bluetooth peice that AT&T/Moto are giving out works too for music and mute when calls come in...?

What I would really like is something like these bluetooth stereo headphones.

You can see the review here
The only problem is that it looks like it does some sort of non-standard compression on the buletooth that may not work directly with say the 220 or the 5600.
That and they are dammed expensive.

the moto stereo headset is a little boomy. It might sound better with foam pads on the ear pieces. It does have the bonus effect of adding some bass to it though.
I picked up my pair at best buy. There are 3.5 to 2.5 adapters out there but they aren't easily found. Try searching easto.com's forums on one for the P800/P900 (which also has a 2.5mm headphone jack).
However, I will add that when I tried my headphones that came with my P900 on my MPx220 I only got sound out of one ear. Dunno why. It could be that the part that sends signals from the button on the headphones (answer/hangup) was switched with one of the audio channels between the P900 and the MPx220.

WOW! those headphones look amazing...but geez, $250 is a bit to much for a pair of headphones.

I might be mistaken, but isn't this the adapter we are talking about?
I know it say's 1/8" stereo to 3/32" stereo, but my impression was that this was the same as the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters.

Check out this article on MGN. The author shows you how to convert the Motorola headphones into a pretty cool set of MP3 headphones. Hope the manufacturers out there start to make some headphones with both size of plugs!

Well I have to say the new Motorola headset don't sound bad, but I was hoping they would improve the mic problem for the called party. With the headset on, the mic volume seems lower on the far end. You have to put the mic right up to your mouth to be heard. BT headsets do seem to fix the mic issue.
I think I'll send it in for repair, everything else is working fine, I'll see if it comes back in the same condition.

how bout them headphones now, diggler?
Posted by: diggler
whoops, i forgot to post before.. but they work great man. the sounds is amazing. i also found the same headphones on ebay going for $8...i think the sellers name was "bluetooth king" or something like that. but i definately approve, and i am somewhat of an audiophile when it comes to my music.

Cool, thanks for the input

has anyone checked out those bt headphones that are springing up now? im veeeeery interested but before i drop $250 on a pair i want to be assured of the sound quality and ability to hold a conversation.

The 250 dollar ones don't work for everything so you gotta be careful. I know they don't work for ipaq users. Hp is going to release some BT headphones that I don't believe have receivers so it should be cheaper than those 250 dollar ones that are suppose to work for everything.

I bought the MPxAA 2.5 to 3.5 adapter with built in Mic from pc-mobile.net. I saw the link while reading the mpx200.org, wire your own headphone article above.
It's a little bit bigger than I expected, but includes a wire retractor which is nice. And it works superb! I plugged in my high quality headphones with a standard 3.5 plug, and got warm stereo output.

Circuit City has these for $5.99. They come with headphones, but I think ill get it just for the 2.5>3.5 adapter.
