Originally posted by Ryujin COM 4 seems way too low for the USB modem to use. There's usually some other PC device on that port, so USB stuff typically chooses numbers in the high single digits. I'd suggest trying to reinstall the USB Modem Driver to see if this corrects the problem. Uninstall the one that's there now first. You shouldn't need to do anything with AT commands, just point MIDway at the port and you're set. |

Originally posted by Ryujin The modem driver I use is the one that came with Motorola Phone Tools, but I would have thought that the p2kman one would work just as well. Try this: Go to Control Panel>Phone & Modem Settings, choose the Modems tab, select your Motorola modem, select Properties, select the Advanced tab, select Advanced Port Settings then change the COM port in the dropdown to 8. Now fire up MIDway and select COM 8. See if that fixes it. |

Originally posted by Ryujin Then the p2kman modem driver musn't be compatible with MIDway. Unless someone else says differently, you'll have to get ahold of the official Motorola USB driver that comes with MPT. Sorry I can't be more help. |
