I've had the 9900 for less than a week. There are a couple of things that I don't like about it and wondered if perhaps someone knows a solution that I've overlooked.

1. Is there a way to delete call logs as a whole rather than one call at a time?

2. Before the phone plays a selected ring tone, it beeps twice. Must this be?

3. Is it possible to have the phone set on both vibrate and a ring tone at the same time?

3. No there is either just ring or vibrate

1. If you go to menu --> settings --> security --> reset --> enter your security code. They give you the option of erasing your call logs, timers, phonebook, settings, etc.

2. This is a caller ID tone (I think it rings every time you get a call that shows you call information... a name or number). It doesn't just ring when someone in your phonebook calls you. You can turn this off by going into menu --> settings --> sounds --> tones. It's called the "Caller ID tone." You can shut it off from this menu.

3. Unfortunately, no... there is no way to vibe and ring at the same time during incoming calls.

PS - writing this from memory (my phone is off and charging), so I may be a menu or so off, but these are the general instructions.

I'm sad about the ring and vibrate at the same time.

And 14 clicks to delete logs is a pain. My last phone, a Sanyo with Sprint, had a hot key that you could program as you wished for something you frequently use. I wonder if that is possible with this one.

There is. Hit the up-arrow key from when in the idle mode, and you will find custom commands. I haven't used them yet, but I'm sure their use is explained in the manual.

I'm disappointed about the lack of ring/vibrate. Complain to VZW - if enough people grumble, maybe they will offer this in a future software update.
