You have to disable the video limit setting under the settings menu, i was able to turn it off and record videos to the max capacity of my memory.

If you meant disable the video limit setting is to change the setting to unlimited, then that has been done but yet the recording is still limited to below 1mb. Or are you trying to tell us there is another way of disabling this "unlimited" settings?
