Mp3 won't play as ringer

I have uploaded mp3's to my 8900 with brewsky. I can play the song on hte phone. But when I set it to hte ringer, it won't play, my old ringer(one of hte standard ringers) plays. How can I make the mp3 be my ringer, I have selected it. Also Menu 6-3, the ringer has a small x on it.

If the files are too large, that could be a problem.
Keep them under 100K MP3, there is no need to convert to MID if using Brewsky.

I have found that if you set a ring tone to someone on your list that calls in and shows as restricted, it will not play that tone
cause it can't find them in your phone book.
Ok, that should be obvious, but I was confused for a while till I told her to get her phone# unrestricted. This made since after that. She did not request it be restricted by cingusuck.

Select the ringer through Menu 7-1-1-1-Right Arrow till you get to the Downloads menu. Select your ringer from there.

All of my Downloads from Tones show x's also on Menu 6-3.

I did have the reinger selected from 7-1-1-1. But on sat, out of no where, it started to play my ringer. It is 250kb. Also the quality is 44100/80kbits and it is stereo.
