Hello all..

When I place a call as soon as I hit the send button I see a screen that says call divert activated and it gives me an OK option on the soft key....

Anyone know what this is as I just started seeing it today..

I thought it had something to do with my Bluetooth headset... Maybe it does, I don't know.

Anyways bump...

Not sure if this helps but this was a question and answer on this forum about what seems to be your problem.

Call Divert – How to turn it off:
Q: I have the 05 text mgs when I receive a voice mail, a screen that says activate call divert when I hit send, and I cannot receive data. After spending 4 + hours on the phone (now I do not receive voice mail notifications) I was told the following.

A: From Home screen:

Press <start>
then 8 : settings
then 1 : phone
then 1 : call barring

It should say "downloading settings from the network"

Make sure both "Block incomming calls" and "Block outgoing calls" are "Off"

I always add to mey personal FAQ doc so I can find the answre quickly.

Some networks do this when you don't have call waiting active. Basically its telling you that while you are on this call, your other incoming calls will be diverted to your voicemail. Leastways, thats what I've seen it mean with other phones.

Hmmm - I get "call divert activated" after ANY call I place is connected, but that doesn't stop me from getting call waiting. On my previous Motorola phones (T720, V600, V400) I got the same sort of message (although I think it said "call forwarding") after placing calls. It never seemed to affect functionality, so I just shrugged it off.

I'm guessing it's a Motorola thing

What Cingular market are you in? (I'm trying to find out if ANYONE outside the NYC/NJ area is getting this issue) -

When you say you don't receive VM notifications, is it that you still get the 05, or nothing at all? If the latter, how did you accomplish that??

Now I get no notification at all.. This is after one of my hour visits on the phone with Cingular

Well, most people actually DO have call divert on, as conditional call forwarding has to be turned on for voicemail to work properly. I haven't seen it in the US very often, but usually when I'm traveling abroad the phone will always give that message to remind you that some of your call forwarding settings are turned on.

Wouldn't worry about it at all...
