T-Mobile US is 1900 only. AT&T and Cingular are 850/1900 depending on the area.

The SMT 5600 is SIM locked to AT&T. If you put any other carriers SIM in, the phone will not work.

There is no SIM unlock available as of now. www.c500-unlock.com is working on it.

Once the SIM unlock is available, this phone will work fine on T-Mobile.
