i hav juss recently added a lot of ringtones to my LG VX6000, and the memory is pretty much full.. so is it normal for the fone to take longer than usual to start up (i.e. verizon screen goes away and then the Power On wall paper is displayed).

The more you put on the phone, the longer it will take for the phone to start up. This is a known bug for the LGs.

my vx6000 was a slow starter... not as bad as the samsung 670 but my vx7000 is prolly atleast 4x faster

Very normal. Mine was doing that a few months ago because I had a full length mp3 on it. It was taking like 2-3 minutes just to power back on. Once I got rid of it, it's been back to normal. I still have a bunch of mp3's, but none go over 30-40 seconds.
