On my external display of my MPX220 in the upper right corner it always displays a "G" about the bars. In the manual is says the meaning of this is "GPRS in use" But on the Internal display it doesnt show the "G" above the bars, only the normal "Y" looking icon, unless I'm actually using the internet or a GPRS feature.
Is anyone else having this issue, I'm concerned that somehow my MPX220 is broadcasting Info and racking up Data charges.
Shouldnt this external display show the normal "Y" looking icon above the bars, when Im not connected to GPRS and my phone is closed.
Also I have Cingular's Media Work Deluxe Package, and it says unlimited kb's through Wireless Internet Express. I've already racked up over 5000 kb's. I'm concerned that I dont understand the package and they will charge me a crap load of money. Can some else who has this Package let me know how many kb's they have used, and if they really only get charged 19.99 per month.

The G just indicates that GPRS is available. When you are connected, the G turns into a solid box with a G inside. Look at your external lcd, you will see it change. It also changes the Y to a boxed in G on the internal screen, where you signal strength is located.
If your unlimited internet access on Cingular is like the TMO plan, it is unlimited and the most you can spend is 19.99. This doesn't include picture messages or txt msgs on TMO.
