I'm just wondering if its possible to save tex messages to the phones memory. I'm in the process of deciding wether to buy it or not and was wondering about that. i have e715 samsung that allows me to save about 200 text messages so i was wondering if the skII can also. AND are you allowed to send more then just like 1 message like the old sk. cuz on my e715 u can send like 3message length of words in a single text message while the old sk only allowed one.

×××× only a hundred ><. oh well, so then what about typing text messages ? whats the max charecters or length wise you allowed to type?

max length is dependent on the carrier. Most limit to 160 characters .

With the Sidekick you can type as many characters as you want. It will appear as one text message on your sidekick and if you send to another sidekick user they will receive it as one message, but if you send it to another phone it will appear broken up into different parts such as "1 of 3", "2 of 3" and "3 of 3". Also, if you send one that is 400 characters, it will take up the space of 3 messages on your sidekick.

And the sk saves the recieved messages direct to the unit.

Case in point. My brother and i went to go look at a sk2 when we were waiting for his communications grant money to come in. We took the sim card out of my nokia and put it in the sk2 that the sales lady got out of the stock. I heard the message alert, but when i put the sim back in the nokia, there was no new message.

skip ahead 3 days, his grant money was approved, and they bought the sk2. It was activated and delivered to us. He turned it on, and on the device, with HIS new sim inside it, was the text message addressed to MY phone, from whoever sent it TO ME. The device recieved it when my sim card was inside, and stored it to the device.

Is there a way I'm not seeing to save messages to different folders? I've got messages from my fiancee, my friends, my family, etc., that I'd like to put in their own folders (yeah, I know, I'm a freak, I'm saving a silly little text message, but they give me a little laugh/smile each time I read them...), and I can't for the life of me see any way to create a new folder. I've read the manual, done a search... Maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing it Thanks y'all
