So I had a thread that my USB Cable I bought off ebay wasn't working, and it still doesn't. I reversed the charges with Visa since the idiot wouldn't respond, no big deal.

I now have in my possession a nice shiny new GD88 Serial cable and it works like a champ in the edit tool. What I didn't realize is how badly this edit tool sucks! I can't delete my SMS messages with it, and I can't manage my files unless it's in the specific directory that it handles. So what the hell good is this other than to send ringtones to my phone with? Very annoyed.

Is there ANY way to get the MobileAction software to use a serial port instead of the USB cable? When I installed it, it didn't ask me and just greyed out the Options area for the cable... Any help here would be greatly appreciated, I simply want to:

1. Be able to mass delete my SMS Messages. I get paged a lot for work, and I can't believe the GD88 doesn't have an option in the menu to "Delete All". I will be damned if I go through each message one by one when I have 100 in there. UGh.

2. Be able to manage files on the phone, in any directory.

Is this even possible? This phone is really starting to piss me off.
