LG U8110 PC Sync Problem

Hello,
I am having great difficulty getting my LG U8110 to connect with my PC. I have followed the instuctions that came with the software and the phone to a T, but it still says that it cannot connect. I bought the phone so that I could Listen to MP3s with it, and so far I haven't even been able to find out how to do that!
Does anyone have any ideas or anything??
