Panasonic new models are all dual band.. why?

I originally wanted to import the X400, however, I realized that it was dual band, than I decided to wait for the X100 to be released so I can import it, however, now it's apparent it's also a dual band.

How come Panasonic is opting to release so much dual band phones over tri band? I mean, i'm dying just knowing I can't use it, even if I put my good hard earned money into it! So disheartening..

well these phones are made for other markets. because the percentage of buyers who need 3 bands is so low, they can save money and just make dual band models.
