Hey all, I have a question that I have been ubale to find an answer on yet. I have tried searching the web and this site, but no info is found. What I have is Verizon service through my employer and a really crappy Kyocera phone to go with it. I looked around the house and found my wife's old CDM-8900 phone and looked to see if it would work with Verizon. Well after calling them and trying to set it up, they told me after the 4th call that I can't use it because it came from Cricket service. Why they didn't tell me this when I first called, I have no clue. I know that the software or firmware in the Cricket phone is different that the Verizon version, but what I would like to find out is if I can re-program or flash this phone to make it compatible with the Verizon network? Does anyone have any useful information? I don't care if it is risky to do, because right now this phone is useless as it sits. Thanks in advance!

Here's an update from what Verizon told me today. I called my local Verizon store, not vendor, and was told that they used to have the ability to re-flash my phone to work with the Verizon service instead of Cricket, but they no longer had the files on their server to do this. Does anyone know where a copy of the most recent Verizon flash can be downloaded and if so, how would I load it? Use the USB cable and BitPim? Thanks!
