8900 .PNG --> "this file is invalid. erase?"

I am using the Audiovox 8900.

Today I sent myself a .PNG file to make as my wallpaper.

When I received the text message, I saved the Media, and it said it saved the file in my "Media Gellary".

When I go to the picture to assign it as my wallpaper, it says, "This file is invalid. Erase this file?"...

Why would it do this? Did I get an incomplete transfer of the text message or something?

I've sent myself .PNG files in the past, and I currently have one as my wallpaper...

I'm confused.
If anyone could explain this, it would be cool.

I have been having so much fun adding pix and tunes to my "phone book". However, when I take a picture and then assign the picture to a caller i.d., a message often comes up which says that the picture is invalid and asks if I would like to erase the image---with no choice really 'cause one has to erase the photo in order to proceed. This happens even when the photo is not assigned to the caller i.d. In fact, I used to have about 33 photos on my phone. Now, I have about 7 and new photos nearly always soon meet the "invalid" fate. When I try to send photos to be saved in "media", I receive a message which says "memory full". Bummer. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Has anyone else had the problem with uploading "invalid" .PNG images?

Can you get it to work with other files/methods??

Maybe do I need to update my firmware??
