i got my SK2 from Amazon, and i can't find out my phone #, i took out the SIM card and put it a phone to find out the # and call my other Cell phone to find out through Caller ID, but both didn't work??
what now??

From the jump screen press, menu, settings, system info..you'll see it then.

Got my phone from Amazon too.

menu > settings > system info... diplays phone number not found from sim, or something to that effect.

The phone was activated, but I just didn't know my phone number.

You either need to call T-Mobile customer support, or call someone you know with caller id. (I just called my office phone and looked at the display.)

That's crazy!

I recommend you get in touch with customer support. Make sure they agree that you won't be paying for service until you have a number local to Boston.

I'm really curious how a SKII being shipped to Boston ended up with an 818 area code. Maybe your boxes got switched or a provisioning problem at T-mobile?

Please let me know what you find out.

I actually got a new SIM with my SKII. My SIM didn't get a phone number until an OTA... or at least that's how I think it happened. It took a few days before it finally showed up.

At any rate, call T-Mobile. They will give you your phone number.
