I figured that was a good price for a P910i. LBo, if you want to sell your P900, give me a holla and we'll run through it like reading rainbow.
The main purpose I'm getting it is for the 850Mhz. Now that Cingular has completed their takeover of ATT, I expect this unit to make all my wildest fantasies come true: 5 bars INSIDE my house!!

I'm gonna be pissed cause of all the games and apps I bought, but if I'm gonna get better coverage, it'll be worth it!! ![]() I'll keep u posted also.

Originally posted by L Bo As long as you're happy, cool. I'll take pics when its time to sell. There are 3 scratches from a fall a while back, so I would rate it a good condition. My apps/games would probably make up the price. If not, then I just format and sell. |

Originally posted by gstull Question, all phones offered by T-Mo seem to be 900, 1800, 1900. The SE site shows the P910a as an 850. Is this correct, and if so will it work with T-Mo network? |

Originally posted by mobilezen I went on SE's NA website. It said it supported Wap 2.0, GPRS and HSCSD and that's it. I looked everywhere else and didn't see EDGE networks supported for the P910a. |

All I can say right now is WOW
The phone looks really nice and the keyboard seems to be very good. It does feel a bit flimsy at first and I hope the lid doesn't break off hehehe.. The first time i open up contacts or any apps it took a while is this normal?
heheheh lol.

Originally posted by niladri30 I might end up having to buy a P910i so that I can have it working on European and some Asian networks. My question is: What am I losing right here in the US? Is 850MHz coverage a must? How limited is 1900 MHz coverage? Can I get by with P910i (900/1800/1900) or must I have a P910a (900/1800/1900)? I plan to be close to metro areas most times, but, for those who know northern California, I do drive between San Jose and Redding/Chico and would like the phone to work on Hwy880/680/80/505/and 5. Any experiences? Tkanks in advance! |

Originally posted by WirelessAndy *SECOND TOPIC* How does the P910a's screen behave? I imagine after x number of seconds, the backlight turns off. Will it leave the LCD itself on, making the screen still slightly readable? Or will the LCD completely go black after x seconds? And how much of this is configuable? Reason: I love being able to glance down at my phone to see what's up. New message? No signal? Dead battery? With this in mind, my Moto V60gi is great if I leave the flip open. I can see everything. But on a Treo 600 (for instance), you get total blackness. Just a blinky LED atop. The Nokia 6600/6620 is a happy medium. You can set the LCD timeout for up to 30 min, and the backlight goes out after a few seconds. But the LCD is so reflective (takes advantage of ambient light) it's still quite readable in most indoor lighting, and gets better outdoors. You can still see the RF bars, battery, etc. The worst offender? Things like the SE T68i come to mind. Remember that forced "digital clock" baloney? If it weren't for the blinky LED's atop, I never would have owned one.. or three... So! How does the P910a's screen and lights work? Does it force a "digital clock" on you? Can you still read the standby screen (RF bars, battery) even if the backlight is off? How often does the green "network active" light blink? ** cue organ music ** I want to believe!!! |
), you can still see the screen. Then in the preferences, you can set the screen saver to come on (i don't bother) which can be a digital clock, and you can also set it to turn the LCD off (again i don't bother).

Originally posted by purin Hi Have a question about p900/910s... is there an equipment insurance company that will cover pda phones in general? I called LockLine (ATT and cingular uses them for phone insurance) and the process getting the phone fixed/replaced seems very easy but they dont cover pda phones. Funny thing is, is that both ATT and Cingular both offer the insurance plans for PDA phones online for any pda phone they offer. I went through all the checkout processes except paying and it doesnt give an error, IE "insurance not available on pda phone, etc". Does anyone have more detailed/correct info about this? I am planning to get either a 900/910 but want to make sure that the screen will be protected against damages and insurance will take care of it. If they do cover the pda phone, then I might be able to get my broken one fixed/replaced. Please msg me if anyone knows. thanks -p |
