Hey,

I'm fairly new at this but my brother just went to india, and he called me asking if I could find out how he could unlock his cell phone, he has a sony ericsson t300. Is there a way for him to do it or will he need to find someone in india?

first enter <**< then you will see some options. choose the option that says network this will demand your sim lock code. enter your sim lock and your good to go. WARNING do not enter incorrectly for more than 5 times or else your si m will be locked.

i know this is a dumb question...but what is a sim lock?

ok, you will have to contact your service provider for that info because different phones have different sim locks

Does this mean that if I used a T-Mobile SE T637, my sim lock code would be the same as someone else's T-Mobile SE T637?

if you entered your sim card code more than 5x times.. your sim card will lock.. and you have to call your service provider to unlock the phone again..
