i have a t630 with broken screen.
i tried put the screen of my t610 in it but it doesn't show up anything. it just lights up and nothing else.
my questions are if anyone can confirm if a t610 screen will work for the t630? or it's my t630's hardware that was already defective with the screen so even with a t610 screen it'll show nothing?

Well, I know that the t630 has a tft lcd screen, and the t610 has an older stn lcd, so I doubt they would be interchangeable.

Although the T610 and T630 are essentially identical hardware-wise, their different displays require different firmwares to operate correctly.

The reason why the STN (T610) screen won't work properly on your T630 is because you have T630 firmware - the same thing will happen if you put a TFT (T630) screen on a T610 - it would need to be flashed with T630 firmware to be able to see anything.

I see no reason why T610 firmware won't work with a T630 if all you wish is to get the STN screen working on it. However, may I suggest that you just pick up a TFT screen to replace the one that's broken. That way, you won't have to flash it (and spend for a Terminator if you don't have one yet) and more importantly, retain the crisp colors on the TFT as against the STN display.

Good luck!
