i saw the dummy phone at a local at&t store today in LA...the guy said they are coming out on nov. 13...but you never know!

oh, i hope the AT&T version has fixed all the problems that is i the cingular version...namely the low volume issue! here's hoping...

A simple request... If you don't have access to ordering from NBO, ie you work for a Nationally contracted company or you have a Sponsorship FAN,

PLEASE DO NOT CALL NBO TO ASK ABOUT THIS PHONE....

If you don't know what a sponsorship FAN or Nationally Contracted customer is, then DON'T CALL.

i hate to be a sceptic, but i doubt at&t will get this phone in. on november 15th at&t will "freeze" their phone selection, basically they will not order any more shipments of any ohone but will continue to sell what they have in stock. why would they introduce a phone on the 13th, only to discontinue it 2 days later?

from what i have heard is that they ot the mpx220 in there warehouse a long time before the merger, so thats why they will still be getting them in...

Actually I just got back from BestBuy in Alpharetta, GA (my MPX 200 just dies) and they had a MPX 220 on display and a price up for it. While I did not ask if they had any units on hand, assume that they did as it was on display with a price and everything.

These are for Cingular though and will most likely have the infamous "beta" rom with multiple problems.

For a while, Phonescoop was showing the MPx220 as available for Cingular (with the Best Buy footnote) and "tentative" for AT&T Wireless.

Now, it doesn't even mention AT&T at all (whereas other phones still show up as AT&T Wireless (Cingular))

Having said that, I just realized that there are NO phones flagged as "coming soon" for AT&T Wireless. I know that Phonescoop isn't an official authority on these matters, but they tend to know their stuff. I'm guessing this is because they already know that there will be no new phones released by AWS.

You know, Phonescoop are not as big of industry insiders as they like to think they are. It's quiite likely they are guessing too.
