I've had my SK2 for a few days now and it's cool all. However, the GPRS signal goes in and out of service like every 1 or 2 mins. It's really really annoying. It interrupts my AIM, email, d/ling applications....but most of all the web browsing. Does anyone have this problem, or had it? If so, how do I fix it? I'm going to a tmo store today to see what the deal is. Also, it says that there is supposed to be a 2.01 OS update that it d/ls on its own. I've had it for 5 days and nothing yet. What's going on? Help...

I had some GPRS connection issuess this weekend that were rather annoying. On Saturday i was AIM'ing while in line for lunch with no problems, on Sunday i was in the SAME line and couldn't get a connection at all. Same thing was happening at my place. Apparently t-mo was having nationwide network issues this weekend, or so they told my friend who called them (he was having issues in a different state.)
As for your second question, who knows? It may be related to the network issues you're experiencing.

I just spoke to the sidekick group at t-mobile and I am having similar issues with mine... he said that they have been having intermittant network problems in the last few days and he would not assure me that they are completely fixed, so my hunch is that they are still working on it.
I have to reboot the phone a bunch of times before I get GPRS back, and then it stays for only a few minutes before showing only a phone icon instead of a G. Only time will tell at this point.

I just returned mines to t-mobile and got a brand new one. Haven't had any problems with it since (it's been about a week and a half). Clearly it was defected.
