i tried installing this and have done everything that this tutorial i read online said to do, but nothignjs working and none of my drivers are showing up in my hardware device setting thing

I'm having problems getting p2k to work as well in the tutorial it says when you first open it will install a bunch of devices but its only opening p2k's program and shows the phone as not connected.

ok I tryyed pst and it's not supported by windows me is there any other methods to get p2kman working?

not really I figured since there's alot of motorola phone owners on here someone would have windows me and know how to get p2k working with it.

yeah i have windows me also and am having trouble with p2kman and PST . i read threads that say to use p2k i have to run PST but PST wont operate with my system . is there anyway to get this to work on my O/S or do i have to get xp

Well, I have never seen anyone get it to work with ME.

I found another way of forcing the phone to tell the computer to load the drivers instead of using PST first

ITS MUCH FASTER

You need to send the phone an AT command ( as in a modem command )

so
1) go into windows device manager and look for the motorola modem
2) in the modem properties go to the modem tab
3) at the top of that pane it will say Port: COMXX
4) remember the XX part.. that is the com port
5) go into start...programs...accessories...communications... Hyperterminal
6) enter a name ( motophone ), click ok
7) in the next box change the connect using... to ComXX ( where xx is the com port you got from 4 )
8 ) entries in the next box are 19200, 8,none,1, hardware ... then click apply, OK
9) type at+mode=8 and press enter
10) at theis point the drivers should begin to load and you should close hyperterminal ( save the connection and put a shortcut on your desktop if you want )
11) start P2kman and wait for it to connect

ahhhh this is killing me

i did what you said ausdilecce on windows me

after i type at+mode=8 it loaded 1 driver and then said it was unable to find the others

Gyn,

OK .. thats a good thing ! It means the the at command is working..

Now go into your device manager and look for devices with yellow exclamation marks... go to those and reinstall drivers for them, using 'have disk...' and pointing to the p2kman/drv folder..

okay i reinstalled all the drivers with the exclamation marks but i have no clue what 'have disk' is . then i tried to open p2k but i still cannot connect. is there another step? thanks again for helping

By have disk, he means that you point Windows at the drivers yourself, not letting Windows search for them.

So, to install the correct drivers:

Firstly, when updating the driver, choose to install from a specific location,
then choose not to search (lowest choice),
then you should be able to click 'Have Disk',
then you can simply go to the p2k/drv folder and click ok, and the driver should be installed.

yeah i reinstalled all of the drivers . i didnt see 'have disc' though but they are reinstalled. then i connect my wire and opened p2k and NOTHING happens! this is killing me . is there another step i need to insert?
