BB7290 and BT headset hissing noise

Hello,
I just got a Rogers BB7290 and paired it with my motorola BT headset. There is a lot of static and hissing on the line when I make or receive calls. I have used this headset with my Nokia 6620 and have not had any issue like this? Has anyone else run into this issue or might have any suggestions? thanks in advance
