P910 and Mac

Hi All,

New to the forum and thinking of getting the P910 and it really does seem like everything I want/need, however the only machines I work on (both at the office and home) are Mac OSX Panther.

I would like to know from anyone who uses the P910 with a Mac how easy it is to get information back and forth. Obviously it is fine using bluetooth etc, but has anyone used the USB connection/cradle - can you upload this way?

I am not sure if anyone know if there is a Mac Version of the PC Suite software either? Anyone shed light on this?

I am pretty much sold already, but just wanted some confirmation before I make the upgrade.

Cheers.

Ben

I just received my P910a this morning and Sync'ed it via Bluetooth with NO problems. I am running a PowerBook (2 month old) with the latest versions of software from Apple. I did not do anything other than pair the two and add the device in iSync. Then it sync'ed fine as I stated before. It even moved my image over from my AddressBook. I did not try to use my PowerBook to connect to the internet via Bluetooth through my P910a.

I hope this helps!

Hi,

Just wondering, do your folders (categories) for the Calendar and Contacts P910 applications sync with iCal's "calendars" and Address Book's "Groups"???

I have a P900 and have to manually adjust an entry's folder/category/group after syncing, enough where it's making me consider a Treo 650, but I love the P900. Hoping syncing is improved on the P910 that way, better field mapping.

To anyone having sync problems, I discovered that if I switch off things like my bluetooth mouse and keyboard, my P900/Powerbook syncing works fine, category field mapping aside.

I too am looking at getting a P910a and I have a iMac G5. Is it possible to get e-mail pushed to the p910a? I'm currently using a .Mac account.

Thx

After some experimenting, I finally got my P910a to sync with my mac. But after several days of use, I can not get it to syn again. I have tried turning off all other BT devices, turning off/on the phone.

It seems that it is almost easier to delete the pairing, and start over from scratch everytime...

Anyone else having iSync barely work with their P910a?
