Debating on a Sidekick II???

Ok, this is for anyone who may be deciding on buying a sidekick II. I had a color sidekick and liked it. I only used the data plan because I prefer Nextel as my cell phone provider. I must say I liked the convenience of the sidekick, but it was a bit bulky and I really didn't use it that much, I actually sold it on eBay just before the sidekick II was released. Now, today, I wandered into a T-Mobile store just for ***** and giggles mostly, and because I am a nerd, and I have to tell you, I picked up the sidekick dummy phone just 2 seconds before an associate walked over to me, and he said "Hello sir can I help you with anything, I said yes I want this in a box in my hands now. This sidekick is aesthetically heads and shoulders above the old sidekick. The software really hasn't changed all that much, but that is fine with me, I liked the old software. Maybe it's just because I haven't used a sidekick in a while but the web browsing really seems to be faster on this one, not to mention I can access my hotmail account without jumping through a bunch of html hoops.

In short, I just want to let all of you know this sidekick for the price is really a DEAL. It is much more comfortable as a phone, less bulky, so much in fact it is not an issue to be carried in your pocket. Or if you are a (excuse the cliché term) metro sexual nerd like myself, it fits very nicely in your "man-bag". If you are teetering on the edge, I am here to push you over, the sidekick II is an awesome buy and definitely worth the upgrade. Once they get a higher resolution camera, and integrate an MP3 player it will honestly be the ultimate all in one device. Go Danger; I'm buying stock in whatever company or subsidiary public company owns you.

honestly i think most sk2 users will agree with you on the vast improvements to the overall design and phone improvements..

those two improvements alone (actually the new scroll wheel improvement was enough for me.. mine is still working on my sk2 vs my csk, it started acting up after 2 weeks... ) justifiied my upgrade...

I'm the same way, use nextel but have the sk2 for data only. Also had the black and white, color, and then upgraded to the sk2. It is by far better than the color version. The software and things havent changed that much, although there are some subtle differences, but the changes they have made that allow to to be thinner and actually fit in a pocket, and also the movement of buttons, and change of scroll wheel has made it worth it for me. They also have added Call/End buttons, which makes no difference for me, but I'm sure that those who use it for calls as well vastly enjoy this feature as opposed to messing with the scroll wheel, which usually broke, in order to try to make a call when the flip was closed.
