Audiovox Communications Officially Sold

Audiovox Corporation announced late yesterday that it has completed the sale of its cellular subsidiary, Audiovox Communications, to UTStarcom. The $165 million cash deal, initially announced in June, officially closed Monday afternoon after receiving regulatory and shareholder approval. Toshiba's former 25% stake was repurchased as part of the terms. The new company will be known as UTStarcom Personal Communications.
